The Route
The Elevation
Phil early on
Phil & Steve just past the Ink Pots
Pretty easy so far
Ooh, a creek crossing
Knee deep in glacier fed water is still cool at this point
Steve in action
Start of the rock garden
Lots of rocks
Sweet
If I was a bear, I'd hang out here
The trail is actually a stream
Approaching the pass
Mystic Pass
Grizzlies have big feet
Let's follow the bear...
Beautiful section across the Pass
Phil looking for bears
Steve & Phil commenting on how little snow is up top
There's a big view coming up
Just over the next ridge
The other side
Looking back, I loved the snow stripes
Steve crosses through the Pass
Mike acting like a 10 year old
Steve acting like a 10 year old
End of crazy snow section, or so we thought
Phil starts the descent
End of another patch of snow
Phil between snow sections
Enjoying the dry trail
Turn & shoot
The beginning of the end of the trail
Oh look, a stream crossing
By this time we'd crossed through about 20 times and my feet were comfortably numb, Steve's still looking strong though
Phil was packing a stove with hot sweet tea. Awesome!
Despite the Griz tracks and tons of relatively fresh scat, the only wildlife we saw all day was 2 of these vicious killer frogs. Fortunately we were wearing frog bells so everything was cool...
It may look like Mt. Edith but it's not...
