Paintings
I started painting on my birthday in 2006, using mostly glue (for texture) and house paints plus some thicker paint in squeeze tubes, plaster, concrete, wire and paper. I first like texture (most of which you can't see on Picasa), then color then structure. I like big more than small, chaotic more than clean, abstract more than "real" ("real", when you look at it close-up, is usually abstract anyway). Usually I have a very specific subject in mind, but sometimes nothing at all. Doing a painting is like writing a paper. I start with nothing and end up with something real, often much better than I could have imagined. -David Jewitt.
