When we got of the streetcar and walked over to the entrance, we saw a horse and buggy. It just exited the stinky horse show building.
Susan and Wendy with a couple of CNE cartoon characters.
There was also a live band there. They weren't very popular.
The first thing we did when we got in the CNE was head straight for the Food Building. Here is a Tiny Tom Donuts stand! It's a must-have if you're visiting the CNE.
These are what the donuts look like. They were so so good!!
Outside the Food Building was some rock climbing and bungie jumping attraction. It looks fun but we didn't do any of it.
Outside of the Food Building, there was a Natrel Milk Truck giving away free milk. The truck was pretty cool! It spat out bubbles! Here's me moooo-ing away in front of the truck.
The airshow was on at the CNE that day. These are the Canadian Snowbirds flying in Line Formation. We didn't go see the airshow per say but many planes flew over our heads. They were quite loud.
Susan and I applying some more sunscreen lotion after going to the Arts & Crafts building.
Wendy and Susan in the midway. We played the ring tossing game. It's a game where you have plastic rings and you throw them at glass bottles. If your ring gets into a bottle, you win! Wendy got a nice pink hat for playing the game.
Here's me with the hat and one of those plastic rings. You can see the bottles in the background.
Don't I look pretty? haha!
Here's me tossing the ring. I didn't win.
Susan and Wendy posing for the camera.
After playing the game, we got ourselves some CNE ice cream waffles. They were super good.
Susan enjoying the ice cream waffle.
After we ate the ice cream waffle, we went to the convention centre and shopped for 4 hours.
In the convention centre, there was this wall that had a "quilt" on display. Each hexagon represented a country in the world. We couldn't find Canada.
After shopping, we got into the IAMS Superdogs dog show. There were lots of really well trained dogs doing tricks.
This was the best part of the show. We got a chance to pet the dogs. They were super cute and friendly. Here's me with one of the Superdogs.
Here's another Superdog. The kid beside it was a bit scared.
This Superdog was super adorable!
After the dogshow, we went outside and it was really dark! I had to take a picture of the Princess Gates with the cool lights.
Me and Wendy with the Midway in the background.
More Midway prettiness. I really need to get a new camera with a wide angle lens.
Corn dogs!! Another staple at the Ex.
Susan and Wendy munching on corn dogs.
The ferris wheel at the Ex up close.
Wendy played another game at the Midway. The game is to pick up the bottle with the ring on a pole without the bottle falling off the white platform. Another really hard game.
Wendy with a corn on the cob. Susan took a big bit out of it.
For dinner, Oktoberfest sausages and fries.
