Donkey Sanctuary of SPARE , the only one in Egypt . The sanctuary is located in our farm in SAKKARA. 13 donkeys, one mare and 3 cheeps are living happily together. They were bought from their owners who was abusing them.
This is how the stray dogs are treated in Egypt. SPARE is trying to save as many as we can , I am asking for your help because this is their futur in Egypt if they are left in the street. Sorry for this , but I just want you to know in what circumstances we are working. Amina

Doris SPARE dog , before and after, she had mange was abuse by a man who was training his Rottweiler on Doris , Doris was in the street sick and weak , the bastard was training his dog on her making him attacking her ( To teach his dog agressivity ) . Doris is now adopted in Germany , my friend Karola is giving her love and care, the poor dog deserves it. Amina ps the next picture is Doris now

The other pictures are the clinic with handicapped dogs, one of them has been adopted in Germany with her adoptiv son the baby who follows her in the picture. Habiba and Lashin,the black dog is called Butch , we made a weel chair for him in SPARE. One of the picture is a horse treated in SPARE.
Little dog who came 2 weeks ago , his tail has been amputated by a sadistic person, the puppy couldn't go to the toilet for days because of the huge wound .... Now he is OK , still has a sad and old look in his eyes. This is one case out of hundreds we deal with,
This is one of our lates rescues, a Female Mule rescued from Port Saiid , a president of a big company bought her from her cruel owner and sent her to S.P.A.R.E , pray for her to survive , many vets think she has to be put to sleep ..Too abused they say ...We are trying and we will see . She eats 24 hours a day , Dr Ossama called her Shakira we hope she will be as fit as Shakira.

Little puppy found 2 days ago TIED to A tree ...Can you imagine ???!!! this > tiny baby less than one KG was tied to a tree , thanks to Omar Magdy ( 13 years old ) who called SPARE and send the puppy with his driver. We called him Jumbo . Any one to sponsor little Jumbo ? We called him Jumbo because we spent this week 4 days in the airport looking for one of SPARE's dog that escaped from her adopter , a German lady who couldn't catch her and let her run away. We promised 500 LE to the one who will find her .
A puppy thrown in the canal as usual and saved by this boy with red hair. MBC TV was there and filmed the whole scene . It will be aired with a programme about SPARE on the first week of January 2009. The TV Channel is called MBC EL Horra , we called the little dog " Horra" ...Who will sponsor poor little Horra ? She didn't stop screaming and crying after being rescued , she was in a state of shock ... The cameraman filmed her rescue and the poor baby under shock. Please watch this programme next January.
