2011 Donna Santiago - Heller Homestead Art Gallery
The Heller Homestead Art Galley will feature the drawings of Donna Santiago. The exhibit will open on Saturday, February 7 and continue through Sunday, April 17, 2011.
The Saucon Valley Conservancy will host a “Meet the Artist Reception” on Monday, February 7 from 7 – 9 pm [snow date: Tuesday, February 8]. Donna Santiago, originally from Queens NY, now living in the Saucon Valley, draws in mostly pencil and ink, but also enjoys watercolor and acrylic. Donna likes the artwork of Bernie Wrightson and Mitch Byrd and tries to use their style of crosshatching and great detail work. She likes to draw fantasy graphic novella and novels, which are the new illustrated novels, similar in format to the comic book. Donna studied for four years at the High School of Art & Design in Manhattan as a Illustration major. She enjoys painting and drawing because it makes her who she is.
