"Abstract Sunrise. Again, for this shot I was experimenting with 2nd curtain sync flash. I tied one end of a fabric belt to a chair and held the other end, moving it upward during a 10sec exposure. I paused incrementally to record the every few "rays" more."

"This meets req. 2 (show action by blurring the foreground). The contrast/saturation changes from monitor to monitor, might take some head tilting to be able to see the image as intended."

"The priority was the shutterspeed, and I set the f/# to a "don't care" of f/11. This was shot using a tripod with the self-timer mode so I could swing the belt. The wall is actually white, but I tinted te image green to go along with the "leaf" theme."

I wanted to capture a standing wave motion, so tied one end of a fabric belt to a chair and held the other end, swinging during the 1'6" exposure. I tried to time it so the top and bottom edges of the leaf were well defined (i.e., more time was spent holding the belt there) but less prominent than the midvein."
