2008-5-19 Shea Formation

We held a shea formation at my site for the Region of Koulikoro. These women were super excited to learn about the new methods for producing shea butter. I hope that they were able to implement the new method in their villages.

2008-06-02 Banamba Marriage

Every year in my village there is a collective marriage held at the mayor's office. It is a traditional thing, not really sure if it is a Malian, African, or Muslim thing... My Host Dad was getting married to his very young third wife. Majority of my pictures are of her and him. We traveled in a wedding procession. The children in my truck kept chanting "tubabo" (aka white person)... how sweet...

Since my camera was stolen in Senegal, I asked my friends if it was possible to upload their pictures onto my website so that friends and family could see how things have progressed through the last couple of months including the trip to Senegal.
