First day and a half on the Canal du Midi
We all (Sandi, me, Drew, Lauren, Chris, and Michelle) all met up about noon on Saturday, July 28, to begin our adventure down the Canal du Midi. We met at the Crown Blue Line offices/dock in the harbor at Castelnaudary. We loaded up the boat, got an orientation from one of their employees (who only spoke French, so Sandi had to translate!), and then decided to go just past the first lock and dock for the night. We had dinner that evening in Castelnaudary and spent our first night on the boat within a few hundred yards/meters of the harbor.
