"In Photoshop, I cropped the image so that the break between the foreground and background was in the middle of the photo. However the rule of thirds is still maintained because the fence breaks the photo in the bottom and the sky creates the other third on the top. I also converted the picture to black and white which brings out the subtle changes in value between the foreground and background."
