Ang getting ready for the c-section.
I was allowed in to the operating theatre - but had to wear a PINK(!) hat to show that I didn't know what to do!
Ang was very jolly - even minutes before the operation.
Joel Robert Wood - just 35 minutes old!
Even after only an hour - he had already learnt to grab my finger. What a special time.
Fast a sleep on his first night.
My parents came to visit the first night ... here is my mum with little Joel.
My sister with little Joel.
My brother with little Joel.
Ang and I (with the help of Joel) did a Su Doku on the first night to pass the time of staying in hospital.
Just before I left on the first day, Ang and Joel had a lovely moment where they looked into each other's eyes.
Joel had already learnt to suck his thumb before he'd even been born!
Joel's “fishtank” in the hospital for the first two days.
Fast asleep in his fish tank.
Isn't he cute?
Yawning away.
Ang and Joel.
In the afternoon of the 23rd, Ang and Joel had lots of visitors including friends from work and Grandma (pictured).

After a very busy visiting session in the afternoon, it was nice to have just Catie visit in the evening, leaving me to go and buy some fish and chips.
While at the hospital, we were very fortunate in that Ang was given her own room to spend time in recovering from the operation.
Me and Joel, just before we left the hospital on the 24th - just two days after he was born.
What a cutie! (and Joel isn't bad either)

All ready to go home.

Hannah and Jim with Joel.
Fast asleep on my lap.
Joel is ready for his first walk around Linton.
Ang is ready to go with her brand new buggie.
He was wide awake for the whole walk... although he can't see much, he certainly enjoyed listening to the new sounds.
Miriam a friend from church came to visit after work.
Laura, Al's friend from work also came to visit and enjoyed holding him.
Fast asleep with Robert the Rabbit - courtesy of Tim and Debs Yau.

Mummy, Daddy and a very sleep Joel,
Grandma and Grandad Wood.
Graeme and Helen on their visit.
Joel is eyeing up his very first bath, while the iDuck from Lorraine flashes away in the tub.
Ang starts by cleaning his sleep away.
“This doesn't seem too bad”... just seconds before he started crying.
“Let me out!”
Joel wasn't sure whether he liked his bath.
All nice and warm again.
Drying off on the nice warm towel.
“hmmm... not sure if I'll have a bath again”
“I wonder what duck tastes like?”
Granny and Grandad Dobson.
