Parkdale Community Garden
I've made this in Photoshop keeping the layers so we can easily change sizes and move elements.
This includes the bare bones elements.
The kidney-shaped elements could be gentle berms or just open areas for planting potatoes, etc.
I suggest having c. 2 on the North west as aesthetic fencing for neighbours.
We could have another kidney shaped element or hexagon for shareble perennials, such as ground covers, heritage perennials, etc.
We could have more of the kidney shaped elements to the south and east for compostable plantings like of water wise native plants like prairie sage, yarrow.
The hexagons for individual use could be for companion planting too.
One could be for children?
The hexagon in the center could be higher double layered. This could be for the roses proposed. If we have it high enough it would be accessible for gardeners in wheel chairs.
The design could be repeated on the east side if the membership expands.
