"Brisbane" Bridge 23 December 2007
The HMAS Brisbane bridge has opened to public as part of the Post 1945 Conflict galleries at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Visitors actually walk onto the bridge to view audio visual displays of the Steelcat at war.
The opening of the display was 40 years nearly to the day that the ship commissioned in Boston USA. The handsome chap at the ships wheel (me) was a member of that original crew and one of the first quartermasters.
It is well worth a visit
