Parvathamalai Yatra 18 to 19th May 2010

Parvathamalai place is very auspicious siva temple in south India. This is 4560 ft high vertical mountain which has iron rod steps(Gadapaparaipadi), track steps(Thandavazhapadi), ladder steps(Yenipadi) and sky steps(Aagayapadi) which is very rare from any other mountains in the world and one of the wonders Parvathamalai is located at Thenmahadevamangalam village which is about 20 kms off Polur. Polur is some 35 kms north of thiruvannamalai (Arunachala) Tamilnadu , India . There's a very powerful Lord Mallikarjuna swamy Shiva temple at the top of the Parvathamalai hill.

Heaven on Earth - From Kathmandu to Kailash 2009

The 6,638 meters high Mt. Kailash is the main peak of the splendid Gangdise Mountain. Covered with snow all the year round, it just looks like a white pyramid touching the sky. Due to its special appearance and sublime scenery, the Mt. Kailash is praised to be a sacred mountain and the the center of the world in Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Bon Religion and Jainism.

KAILASH MANASAROVAR YATRA 26 JULY 18 AUGUST 2009

My second Kailash yatra. 21 total yatris, 16 male and 5 female. All 21 did the outer parikrama with success. 14 did the 52km parikrama on foot. Five us did the Nandhi parikrama, which took us almost 12 hours. Mount Kailash inner parikrama which took 3 days to complete was also done by 5 yatris. 3 yatris perform all the 3 parikrama during their 23 days yatra. ON NAMASIVAYA

Temple Darshan - Darasuram

This temple is a storehouse of art and architecture. The vimana is 85 feet high. The front mandapam itself is in the form of a huge chariot drawn by horses. The temple has some exquisite stone carvings. The main deity's consort Periya Nayaki Amman temple is situated adjacent to Airavateshwarar temple.

Parvathamalai

The Parvatha malai as mentioned is referred to as 'Southern Kailasam', commomerated for Sri Mallikarjuna swamy, Sri Bramarambigai enshrined by one of the 18 tamil siddhars Sri BHOGAR Sitthar. This whole place is being cared by Vanadurgai, Veerabhadra Swamy. Many siddhars are still believed to worship the moolavar even today along with the devathas on every full moon day. This is the first foot step taken by Lord Shiva after the event in Thiruvannamailai. It heighs about 4,200 ft (approx). It is worth visiting this kshethra once in a lifetime, just as equal to visiting Manasa sarovar!! Please come and be blessed.
