Snowed In Portland - December 2008
In any other city in the northern U.S., a foot of snow is nothing to write home about. But here in Portland, with hardly a plow in sight and drivers freaking out at the slightest slip, the December 21, 2008 snow storm shut us down for days. Plus the winds coming up the Columbia River gorge piled the snow up in drifts that would make even the Michiganders look twice.
