Contractor checking out ceiling August 2009
Archie wonders what we are up to.
Moving the fridge to our temporary kitchen - Sept 2009
Our temporary kitchen in the dining room
More temporary kitchen. The doorway zipper is designed to keep dust out.
6 am wakeup! We had the honey pot in the back yard rather than the front.
The usual clutter outside.
This was behind the fridge - heating vent
Bye bye breakfast nook.
Old plumbing - all gets replaced.
Wall between mud room and nook. Used to be outside siding.
Old wall is going going....
All this stuff gets re-routed.
The old floor in mud room
Our floors/ceilings were at 3 different levels.
What happened to the back of our house? Old coal room exposed under kitchen.
The covered pergola came in handy to store materials and tools.
Beautiful windows made right in Crown Hill.
Cabinets have arrived!
Pacific Crest cherry cabinets with all wood inners - no toxic glue or formaldehyde!
Our drawers actually glide!
Preparing for countertop
Plumbed for water to fridge.
Microwave in but not hooked up.
Plenty of storage with new pantry
Love the corner cabinet for more workspace and storage. There's a spice pull-out drawer next to it.
Silestone Quartz countertops allow for a larger overhang without support.
We love our marmoleum floor. Stinky to install, though.
Waiting for appliances.
Counter depth fridge takes up less space into room
Light fixtures from Rejuvenation, http://www.rejuvenation.com/
Italian tile on the backsplash
Cherry cabinets darken when exposed to light.
Under cabinet power outlet strips allow the tile backsplash to shine!
All appliances from Almvigs on Roosevelt
Love the wine rack eating/work area.
We finally have a dishwasher after 25+ yrs of handwashing.
