My variation on a gOS style desktop using Xfce. This is with the xfce-basic theme. Notice I didn't try to get the same window decor for the windows. IMO, the Mac-like window controls are a bad design, so why perpetuate it?
Another version of my variationon a gOS style desktop using Xfce. Big differences are (a) conky in the upper right corner, and (b) the ubuntulooks-aquagreen-alt theme (which is the theme used in the gOS desktop). Also the X server compositor is turned on for drop shadows and transparency. Unfortunately the gPC doesn't handle it all that well.
Blue colored variation on the Xfce gOS desktop. Lots of transparency and drop shadows to show the full affect. Notice also the Tracker Search window, which (bafflingly) isn't included in the default gOS packages.
Another shot of te blue theme variation, showing the windows in a different layering layout.
And finally, snackAmp in all it's glory. Note in Xfce I have to leave it on one desktop, and use the tray controls, and a pop up for song changes. Note in the pekwm layout this will be a bit different. This shot shows you several of the windows: database, main player, track properties, mixer. There are tons more: track editing, album search, etc.
