Xirrus XN4 in-wall installation

Xirrus XN4 wifi array installed in a wall cavity. One core-filled besser block was removed to fit the array, and perspex covers were added to hide the cavity. Apparently this is a world-first installation for Xirrus.

Phillip Island Trek

We were privileged one morning to be part of a small trekking group that visited Phillip Island, about 7km east of Norfolk. David from Charter Marine dropped our group of 7 (6 trekkers plus Karlene, a local guide) and picked us up about 3 hours later. (Angela took many of these photos and arranged this album.)

Injured dove

This appears to be a juvenile peaceful dove or spotted dove. The close-up of its right wing shows only one flight feather on that side, even though it has pretty good plumage on the left.

Kookaburra couple

These two kookaburras have been hanging out around our place off and on for the past few weeks. Today they stared intently at their prey (a huntsman spider) for several minutes before the larger one (the male?) swooped. They then got together and celebrated in the tree, before flying off to a nearby telephone pole to crow about it a little more.
