White Tail is a trail with potential as an intermediate to advanced mountain bike trail in the park. This is where our project took place with the park staff.
The second day we had other members of local trail organizations working in the same area.
As of right now, this is what most designated mountain bike trails look like in the park.
This is a singletrack mountain bike trail called Green Snake which lies just outside the park boundary. It's seven years old now and virtually no maintenance is needed.
This reroute on White Tail involved a reroute to the left to avoid the fall line that we closed on the right.
It's a good thing that the "Heritage Green" pants don't show dirt very much.
Ed Jager, head of Visitor Experience for Parks Canada, apparently lost a contact lens during the workshop.
The crushed stone for the new tread was extracted from the old trail before it was reclaimed.
