Fritz aka "The Professor"
Zane - projecting his over the top level of confidence
Gracie and her beau Palomino (the Orange Tabby; Pal for short) . I never got to pet Gracie. She passed away in April '07 after having "graced" me with two litters of cats before I was able to get her spayed. Pal was heart- broken over her death.
Bandit, aka Bandito Bandit was abandoned in the greenbelt behind my Austin house. It took 6 moths of patience before he decided to completely trust me. Looks like he has no regrets
Marcello is from the first litter of cats Gracie brought to my garage. He and his siblings were born wild (feral). As a result, I can't pet Marcello.
Marco (left) and Trixie sunning themselves. Marco is from Gracie't second litter. He was hand raised from 4 weeks on - so he's not feral.
Fritz lodging a complaint about yet another of mother's business trips.
Front front to back: Adrian is from Gracie's first litter, he's even more wild than Marcello but he takes great comfort in "hanging" with Bandit and Pal.
Gracie's First Litter This is before she brough Adrian over (a.k.a. Buzzsaw). This is what a litter of feral cats looks like: SCARED TO DEATH. Please spay and neuter your pets.
Zane in a rare moment of recharging. He's dreaming of which cat he'll terrorize first when he awakens.
Eight Cats watching a bug (before the kitchen was udated) and before the divorce where I lost custody of some.
Rudy asks "What you looking at"
Trixie and Fritz prove love knows no boundaries
Bandit loves small spaces
Darla - my former stepson's cat - is the devil incarnate. She loathes cats. I'm not sure what she thinks she is.
Marcello in his usual feeding location. He is a very patient cat; he knows he'll be fed, there's no reason to push or shove. He still hasn't figured out how I tell him apart from the others - darned that white spot
Adrian (aka Buzzsaw) is the most timid of the feral cats from Gracie's first litter. He's an exquisite specimine. I wish he'd let me love him, but I take comfort that he takes comfort from Pal and Bandit.
Bandit finds yet another item to squeeze into.
Six cats poised to catch that darned bird outside (this is before the bathroom was remodeled)
Niki - jumped out of the drain at the end of my driveway. She obviously wasn't feral, I had her spayed and she escaped from the home just as suddenly as she appeared.
Game On Zane is fresh from a nap and is letting Fritz think he's winning
Georgeanne and my nasty cabinets before they were refinished.
Marco demonstrates why he's such a hunk.
Dante (brother to Rudy and Marco) weighs in at about 20 lbs. Yet this boy can move. Zane has all the respect in the world for Dante.
Palominio (Pal) When Gracie died, Pal decided he wanted to come in the house. So, after 3 years of never being able to touch him, over the course of 3 months he became a real darling.
Trixie (Fritz' girlfriend) One smart and undemanding girl. She and Bandit often have grooming wars. No I'm grooming you - no I'm grooming you!!
Luciano (brother to Adrian and Marcello) Is the only boy from the feral litter that seeks mom out to be petted. He is the gentlest boy who purrs up a storm. Most times, he's MIA (hiding somewhere in the house).
Rudy demands a chest rub
Dante in his full glory.
Franklin - the Rodney Dangerfield of the clan. He gets no respect from anyone and he knows it. It frustrates him to no end.
Franklin - pouting in isolation. Why do they hate me?
Rudy says "Mom, do you mind? I'm trying to get some sleep here"
AJ and Magnum - 2 other pets that someone grew tired of. Magnum passed away Dec '07. I thought AJ would die of sadness. Much to my surprise he threw a party.
Testing out the new bed.
Georgeanne I think this was after she'd healed from being hit by a car. Her hips were crushed and the vet delayed surgery to see if her leg needed amputation too - by the time they decided it was healing, we decided to forgo the invasive surgery. She walks just fine, if a bit knock-kneed and hops when she runs.
Fritz enjoying his favorite treat: a greenie
Hans This is Fritz' brother; whom I lost in the divorce. It was for Hans' best because Zane had come to dislike him.
