This is the original Scott Base hut. Edmund Hillary was the first commander of Scott Base. In case Scott Base has a serious fire, this hut is the emergency support for the people living there.
This is one of Edmund Hillary's original ice axes. He is happily driving his favorite tractor, forever remembered in the Scott Base sun room.
