At Oma's Birthday
Of all the sweets and cake at her birthday, Ruby chooses to eat strawberries. Bliss :)
Camping at Nanga Mill
Mother's day at the beach
We won't allow Ruby to go much higher than this (even though she wants to). We have three different types of swings which are easily interchangeable and the kids spend most days in, on or hanging from them

Super Ruby
Now that Isaac has his 'big bike' we'll get Ruby going on the tricycle.
18 months now. Running around, has excellent language and is very cheeky. At times shows classic toddler behaviour and won't take any crap from Isaac (she's a tough nut). Sleeps very well.

Ruby is running around now and her language extends to three or even four word sentences.
All of a sudden Ruby has started to walk (not just take steps). She is regularly parroting and can name objects when asked. But it's her playfulness that brings the most joy and makes her addictive to be around.
This is that fantastic age where the simple game of peek-a-boo brings bundles of giggles.
Ruby is amazing when it comes to giving cuddles. She will give you a genuine 'bear' hug - getting lots of practice in with her dolls. Let's hope she never stops doing it!

Chatting in her cot after an afternoon nap
Ruby almost 1 year old now! Her 'character' has exploded the last month or two (it has us worried) and she loves to walk holding on with both hands. She's also starting to grow a bit of hair now...at least at the back.

Discovering Autumn at Nonni's
This photo defines Ruby in so many ways; resilient, determined and mischievous!
I think she may have got *some* pumpkin in her mouth!

Mmmm, any similarities?

Isaac loves to hold his little sister...sometimes a little too much!
Classic Ruby smile - a day doesn't seem complete without at least ten of these :)
Getting into the "solids"
Christmas day. Ruby is getting much more interactive, smiles heaps and loves to be picked up and held so she can see all that's going on.
Can you touch the bottom of your chin with your tongue?
At almost four months Ruby has started to roll - from back to tummy rather than the usual tummy flip to back that most babies start with.
Isaac is always up for a cuddle
It's been interesting for us to compare Ruby with Isaac at this age. Believe it or not, Isaac was far more chubby (especially in the cheeks).
Ruby is now three months old, going from "infant" to "baby"
Getting into the swing of things
Like mother like daughter?
Who ever said infants weren't demanding?
Just over two months old. Plenty of smiling and vocals. She's really starting to "wake up to the world" now, becoming more interactive.
As we did with Isaac, we'll be watching those eyes to see if/when they change colour. So far we've noticed a difference already but they remain blue (the centre has become a lighter blue).
Ruby turned one month old yesterday.
Ruby has exceptional strength in her back/neck already. She was able to lift her head like this from about one week old.
She loves a bit of a cuddle from Mama.
Eyes are fully opening and her head is starting to take a 'normal' shape.

Six days old and opening her eyes a bit more. After five days in hospital, she has come home now.
