Mission Trip Commissioning

We commissioned our team that's leaving later this month for Wachara, Kenya, and gave them gifts to bring with them on their journey to our friends at Hope UMC. During his children's sermon, Pastor John talked about his comfort zone and how he's leaving it to go to Africa. Pastor John gets in his comfort zone by wearing a pair of UGGs and a bathrobe and reading a church history book.

It was an eventful day Sunday as Pastor John revealed his new haircut for the trip he and six other will be taking to Kenya, our new youth director was introduced and prayed for, an update was shared on finances and Missionary Julie Campbell shared the message during worship. Afterwards, the young adults and their families gathered for a cook-out hosted by Matt Ralph and Tim Acker's small groups.
