Packing at home. How are we going to get all this stuff to fit?
Brent: "I think it's full!"
Our train ride north was on this lovely Amtrack train. We almost didn't get on it.
Brent on the train in the lounge car.
Teresa lounging on the train.
We made it to the hotel room for the first night! Had to get off the train and put the bikes together. Then ride 2 miles to the motel 6.
The bikes. Little do they know what they are in for!

Beautiful countryside surrounding the Santa Ynez Valley.

Teresa halfway up what ended up being the hardest climb of the trip -- saved for the last day of riding. Sea Level to 3800ft in 7 miles.
Brent actually saying he enjoyed the climb.
Yes we went up and over that. And this after 3 miles of steady uphill already behind us.
