Gimpo Airport---biggest doors eva!
Plane food, it was pretty good...minus the octopus! The alcohol was free!!! I drank two of those cute bottles of wine..needless to say I was on my way to a great vacation!!!
I think this is Fukuoka, Japan. I had a great seat on the plane the only draw back was that I was at the emergency exit!!!
Hour one in Japan and we are in Kimonos...so funny!

These cops tried to move the crowd for over 30 minutes and everyone just kept sitting in the same spot...so we didn't move either...it was really entertaining...
Street Food
Chris won two stuffed animals from an arcade/casino and as part of the deal they put them in a balloon! Weird eh!?!
Canal through Tokyo
The subway JAMMED!
Our two new friends, one of which walked us to one of the most amazing bars ever! We met them on the subway.
The nicest man in Tokyo. I like to refer to him as a Samurai. He was so great he bought us drinks and then took us to this Birthday party with all these amazing Japanese people!
In the smallest bar in the world
On the corner where some of Lost In Translation was filmed.
They drive in the other side of the road in Japan...I couldn't get use to it at all!

Yup, those are huge storm clouds rolling just as we were arriving...ah well you can't fight mother nature.
Cabaret Tent
This guy was just standing in the PORING rain and loving every second of it.
Jenny playing away in the biggest drum circle ever!
The drumming leader she was amazing.
The drum circle moved outside when the rain stopped
The drumming got really, really, loud and intense and then on the last beat a huge thunder crack went off...it brought tears to peoples eyes!
Micheal Franti and Spearhead...absolutely amazing...he rocked my socks off!
It was so wet, as you can tell from my glasses.
Our friend Colin who also teaches English in Korea. We kept meeting up with him along our trip. This is him and his make shift rain coat!
Lee Scratch Perry, he's an old reggae guy...I feel like he's like Bob Dylan in the sense that he's lost that lovin feeling somewhere along the way...haha!
Walking through the woods on our way to another stage, it was so beautiful.
Me reaching for the stars...or I guess the disco ball!
Jenny and I...this is such a cool shot!
Rodrigo Y Gabriela are two fast-fingered, Dublin-based, Mexicans with a unique sound created on acoustic guitars. Check em out they are fantastic!
Good ole birch....even in Japan!
This was some sort of mechanical fish
Chris is in there posing with the people who I think were running this section of food stalls?!?!
Bob Marley sing along with a bunch of people from one of the restaurant tents...they gave us free beer and sand for us...sooo good!
Fire spinners
Chris was cold and tired so he decided that it was smart to bundle up in his poncho and sleep beside a generator! It was genius minus the fact that he had fumes blowing at him...
Recycling...Japan has the best recycling program I've ever seen.
The building where the music went all night
Good nap Chris?
Sunrise at Fuji Rocks
Maybe not next year but I will be back for all three days!
Another area of the festival that we discovered on the way out.
Even in Japan I found my dream vehicle...this one could use a coat of paint though ;)
The Shinkansen (Bullet) train sooo fast!
Mount Fuji!
The town of Fuji-Yoshida. This is where we stayed to see Mount Fuji.
Pink and yellow petunias!
Even the sewer covers in Japan are pretty :)
Chris later bought one of these lucky cats!
Cable car ride
This is a tree where you hang bad fortune one. So if you are to get some bad karma/news you can hang it here to ward it off!
You can't tell but that is Mount Fuji behind the clouds. We were really lucky to get a great view of the mountain on the day we arrived. This was the next day from the top of a cable car ride.
this is apparently one of the most famous pictures as the peak of Fuji is directly in the centre...well you can imagine!
Stretching!
Vending machines are everywhere in Japan. This one sold french fries! Yup the Englishman got some and they were pretty tasty!
These are pieces of wood that you write prayers on for people in need.
So I really liked these flowers...so I took a lot of pics! haha they are like a combo flower!
The train station near Mount Fuji.
Udon Noodles with some deep fried potato on the top...it was delicious!
Bicycle parking lot!
Sushi in Kyoto
Fan makers, they have all these so called factories in Kyoto. To me it just looked like a bunch of people hanging out doing art....I wanted to ask them for a job!
Johnny Hillwalker, super quirky tour guide.
Tofu factory
He kept saying 'Shall we move on' like it was a question when it was more of a statement...super cute!
Did you know that Nintendo started as playing cards?!??!? Yup, it sure did!

One of the first western style houses in Kyoto.
Lilly pads and lotus flowers
Enjoying more noodles! It was such a toss up between sushi and noodles for the entire trip...both were delicious!
The subway map in Osaka. I wish someone would have taken a picture when we heard over the loud speaker that you had to be in cars 1-3 to go to a certain place and then 4-8 to another....so did that mean the trains split at one point??? We were floored!! It was super complicated! A nice man helped us find our way though :)
Osaka, this guy made me laugh...
The famous strip in Osaka
The fashion and hair styles in Osaka were out of this world!
In a very crowded elevator trying to find a bar...
At a bar with our new Korean and English friends
We played all these Korean drinking games that put us all over the edge...a very funny and drunken night in Osaka
Oh oh Jenny that does not look like a happy face...what is Chris reading??
The bar we were in?!?! haha not sure though...
I came downstairs to find all my friends passed out in the lobby!!! I dropped to my knees in laughter...it was priceless! So much for paying 25 bucks for a room!
My room in Osaka that I barely slept in...
It was a rough trip back from Osaka to Tokyo...but it was all worth it....
Faces of sadness and contentement....we managed to see and do so much on our six day adventure...it was a good ride while it lasted!
Yummy Airplane food
