The Greater New Orleans Bridge, also known as the Crescent City Connection, can be seen in the distance as the 1/4 mile sign for Exit 11C is found on I-910/Business US 90 West.
Even on a Sunday, traffic was insane on this highway. The onramp here provides an auxiliary lane for Exit 11C.
Traffic exits here onto Exit 11C, the last exit on the Eastbank.
The next exit for I-910/Business US 90 West is for LA 428/General de Gaulle Drive/Terry Parkway, 2 miles away in a place we Eastbank folk like to call “Across Da River.”
Reassurance shield for Business US 90 West. Interstate 910 is not signed along this stretch - although offered to Louisiana, Louisiana did not accept the designation.
Westbank-bound traffic on I-910/Business US 90 West uses the older of the two Greater New Orleans/Crescent City Connection bridges. This direction is free - Eastbank-bound traffic using the newer of the bridges is tolled.
Now on the Westbank, the next few exits will come in rapid succession. Exit 9B to LA 428 will exit first, while Exit 9A will exit 1/4 of a mile away.
Traffic bound for LA 428 exits here, as Exit 9A will itself depart very shortly. We are in the midst of a violent curve as I-910/Business US 90 completely reverses orientation.
Traffic bound to Terry Parkway and the service roads peels off here. This pullthrough actually has a shield... but it's a 3dus-width one!
The next exit is Exit 8, to Stumpf Boulevard, one mile away.
The next two exits from I-910/Business US 90 West serve Gretna, the seat of Jefferson Parish.
Traffic bound for Stumpf Boulevard peels off to the right ahead.
California-style “next few exits” sign in the median of I-910/Business US 90 after the Exit 8 offramp. LA 23/18 are 3/4 mile away, Manhattan Boulecard is 1 1/4 miles away and Barataria Boulevard is 3 1/4 miles away.
The next exit is Exit 7, connecting to LA 23 South, LA 18 West and Lafayette Street.
Exit 7 departs to the right.
The next three exits are for Manhattan Boulevard, Barataria Boulevard and Ames Boulevard.
The next exit is Exit 6, Manhattan Boulevard.
Exit 6 departs on the right, as the bridge carrying the elevated West Bank Expressway over the Harvey Canal looms in the distance.
While the West Bank Expressway flies over the Harvey Canal on this bridge, a pair of tunnels carry the frontage roads underneath. The tunnels are vestiges of the original routing of Business US 90.
The next exit is Exit 4B, LA 45 (Barataria Boulevard).
Exit 4B departs on the right.
On the left, the sign notifies motorists of the next two exits, Ames Boulevard, and Westwood Drive. Space is left for a third once the elevated expressway is completed. On the right, reassurance signage for Business US 90.
The next exit is Exit 4A, connecting I-910/Business US 90 West to Ames Boulevard.
Exit 4A peels off to the right.
Left: The sole “exit” on the sign is Westwood Drive. Right: Reassurance shield for Business US 90 West.
I-910 will end in 1/4 mile. Business US 90 will continue on the future frontage roads.
END! unsigned Interstate 910 West. The road continues on solely designated (on paper and in the field) as Business US 90 West. The “exit” to Westwood Drive is an at-grade intersection.
