"Tender Years" Young lad on a tour of John Macarthur's cemetery, sited on the Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute campus, Camden South. Turned into a monochrome image, however, maintained and highlighted the eyes and eye colour, softened the remainder of the image to create this lovely affect. It is the same photo as the one that follows, however, been treated very differently. Taken Farm Sunday, 20 November 2011 at Belgenny Farm.

“Merlin” – a two year old blue merle Australian Shepherd. Merlin enjoying his day playing ball and swimming in the water at Lake Jindabyne, Snowy Mountains, with his family. He was just so adorable and had a great temperament. The Australian Shepherd is a breed of herding dog developed on ranches in the Western United States. Despite its name, the breed, commonly known as an Aussie, did not originate in Australia. They acquired their name because of association with Basque sheepherders who came to the United States from Australia. For decades Aussies have been valued by stockmen for their inherent versatility and trainability. They are also highly successful search and rescue dogs, disaster dogs, detection dogs, guide, service, and therapy dogs. Taken January 2010.

"Nautical Exploration" A still life set up photographed using natural light. The image was post processed using Topaz Adjust to bring out the detail, the saturation was reduced and emphasis was placed on the manuscript by the use of light effects. A few hours work, however, an effective image depicting early nautical exploration. Taken August 2011

"Illumination" The blacksmith over-heated the steel in the forge intentionally so that when it was struck, fragments of steel would create the spectacular light show depicted. A blacksmith creates objects from wrought iron or steel by forging the metal: that is, by using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. They produce objects such as gates, grilles, railings, light fixtures, furniture, sculpture, tools, agricultural implements, decorative and religious items, cooking utensils and weapons. "Dahlia Delicacy" Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia, some like D. imperialis up to 10 metres tall. Sepia toned and soft border added. Taken 9 March 2009.

The now deserted Ben Bullen railway station on the Gwabegar Line 198.3 kilometres from Sydney. It is a well known little haunt for enthusiastic photographers.
