Bullfighting ring, They don't get started until April and it is a short season but it is directly across the street from the hospital.
Statue on the inside of the bullfighting ring.
The beach is just four blocks due west of the hospital and about four blocks north is the US border.
Beautiful views. We didn't walk much but sat and enjoyed the view and feeling the warm sun on our faces. Nice after sitting in the hospital for three days.
Restaurants down by the ocean sell fresh green coconuts. They cut off the top and give you a straw and then you can eat the inside once the milk is gone.
View of the border and San Diego beyond.
Back side of the restaurant.
Enjoying the sun.
We liked the thatched roofs.
View to the south.
We aren't sure what this used to be used for but there is a small stage and it looks like there used to be lights. It is a great place to just sit in the sun now.
Another view to the north and the US Border.
The church and parochial school are directly behind the hospital.

Vendor stalls at Rosarita beach.
We spent 2 hours in Rosarita shopping for everyone for gifts to take home.
The vendors were very insistent that they had unique items and that things were so cheap they were almost free, of course everything started out at about $30 U.S.
Vendors were very easy to talk down most of the time and if they thought you were going to leave they would come down to your price most of the time.
We found some great deals but most of the fun was in the bartering.
We ate in a small restaurant and had burritos and bottled water.
we could look out on the open air market from our seats in the restaurant.
more vendors stalls.
this restaurant was the pick up point for the hospital van to come pick us all back up.
El nido Resturant, Mike and Sandi ate here last time they came.
