The old building is turning grey. Too much asbestos and no place to run central air. Went of observer school in 1965, forecaster school in 1969-1070 and SWO course in 1978 in that building.

SCOTT AFB AIRSHOW 2010

The day started with low clouds and drizzle to clear skies by afternoon. Lots of good visible vapor from performing aircraft. Did not stay for Blue Angel show which was delayed by the A-10 with a blown tire just before show time. Thanks to Joe Baugher (http://www.joebaugher.com/) for his detailed listing of military aircraft serials which I have used in the picture captions.

Aircraft ID information from http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html. C-47 ID from web search for Civil Registry--baugher does not list this aircraft seperately. I don't have tail number for the T-29/C-131. C-45 SN in picture appears to be incorrect. Leon Johnson was a weather officer in the 1930's (MS in Meteorology UCLA) My interest is that I spent 25 years in Air Force Weather.
