Easy to think of Buenos Aires to Sydney as west, but it's actually faster going south
It felt nice to be somewhere clean and modern
crazy long-necked turtle at the sydney aquarium
I love the Aussie sense of humor. Note the warning, and the croc in the cage
Me with the actual darth vader costume! I know, I'm sooooo cool
Paddy's market in Sydney - lots of random shops
Starting my walk from Coogie to Bondi beach.
Lots of little bays (coves?) like this along the coast
Arriving at Bondi beach
One of the cool salt-water pools along the beach
It was like this on a random Wednesday 1PM. On the weekends it must be totally swamped
Take your pick!
No furbys?
Leon and my first couchsurfing event! A picnic on Balmoral beach - met some great people here, one of whom invited us to his apartment that night with some other people for a party...
The view from his balcony - that dark figure on the left is Leon
In line with Leon, Kira, Stephen, and Paula, to get into the Botanical Gardens outside the Opera House to see the fireworks! You can see part of the line in the background...
It was a loooooooooooooooong line
After 5 hours - we made it into the gardens. That's the harbor bridge in the background.
Amusing sky-writing
Happy new year!
Crazy street performer in Circular Quay (downtown Sydney)
On the way to Balmoral Beach again. This time to do some sailing!
2 things to note here - 1) the wind was strong! Look at the boat off to the left. 2) the tiny figures on top of the bridge - those were people doing the bridgeclimb, what I did a few weeks ago.
Leon is now a pro at sailing
Hobiecats are too much fun
Manly beach - a bit of a grey day, but it made our long walk more pleasant.
Our walk took us along the coast to the 'Spit Bridge' off to the left
I relax after a short swim in one of Sydney's salt-water pools.
Aboriginal stone carvings

Bridge on the left, Opera house on the right, me in the middle
