We landed on the moon when I was 12 years old. The thrill of seeing the actual surface of the moon and pictures of earth
live on tv made the moon ,the entire night time sky , astronomy and it's history come to life in my imagination..Galileo and the muse of astronomy,Urania,became a source of curiosity. She could foretell the future from reading the positions of the stars. Stars illuminate the darkness and are a metaphor, in her eyes and mine for the arts and sciences which enlighten and inspire our earthly existence Look to the night sky behind which lie the secrets and mysteries of the universe..
