Each child has a large 2" binder for each year of their school lives. That is all I keep.
Sometimes, like in Cyan's 1st grade case, there were unit studies inside her binder.
Each of those unit studies however, really show the neat things she was learning and I saved three of them in her binder.
My favorite part of her 1st grade binder is her handwriting. This is the first day of school.
Feb.
April... and in this one has a picture of what she sees out the window on it. A stellar jay in our herb garden.
All the things in between her beautiful datework makes it clear where she was in the year and what she was studying.
Having Alex home this year has made his binder a special treat as I get to see his best work all the time... and before anyone else. This is a poem he wrote with ink that he made on paper that he 'aged' himself.
His first (for me) full report. I thought it was wonderful!
And our latest botany studies.
