Visit to Carmelite Monastery and Archbishop

Catechumens, Sponsors and their families visited the Carmelite Monastery at Bukit Purmei and learnt how the Order came about and the daily life of the nuns. Thereafter, they proceeded to the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Victoria Street where His Grace, Archbishop Monsignor Nichola Chia had an interesting chit chat with them.

Church Tour

As part of their RCIA journey, the Catechumens were given a walkabout in the Church and briefed on the significance and usage of liturgical vestments and vessels. They also had a taste of the unconsecrated bread.

Rite of Acceptance

11 Inquirers were accepted into the Church as Catechumens at the Rite of Acceptance held during the Sunset Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ambrose Vaz. Sponsors and family members turned up in strength to support these Inquirers. After Mass, all proceeded to the Canteen for dinner and fellowship.
