October 4, 2009. Second harvest of larger potatoes, about 4.5 months after planting.
Some big ones in there.
Next year we'll let them grow as long as possible to get a greater yield.
There were more potatoes than this, but this photo gives an idea of how large they grew.
This one had tan lines.
We left them in the ground for a couple weeks after killing the plants before doing the final harvest.
Most had thin skins, but it didn't matter because we ate them all within a couple months.
What is that, about 7 pounds?
