Sunya Temple

Sunya Temple About 39 km. from Ranchi on Tata Road near Bundu, stands the graceful Sun Temple shaped in the form of huge chariot with richly decorated 18 wheels (nine on each side) and seven life like horses ready to take off. The surroundings of the temple, studded with a pond serving as a sacred place for Chhathavratis are actually a nature's bounty to the people of Chhotanagpur. A beautiful dharmashala, meant for the pilgrims and the tourists is under construction. The all weather motor able road upto the temple premises is likely to attract tourist who will be captivated to behold the newly built Sun Temple in placid and serene surrounding leading to it's celestial beauties.

Jonha Falls

Jonha Falls.. it is dry season that why it is not that impressing : also known as Gautamdhara is around 40 Kms from Ranchi. It is approachable by both Road and train. The fall can be admired by descending around 500 steps. There is a tourist rest house which contains Lord Buddha temple. The river Kanchi flows nearby.

Nehru Park, Burnpur, India

The park was formally named Riverside Park when laid out by a German general manager of IISCO (IISCO Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited named F.W.A.Lahmeyer. So wide was the appreciation that the common people started calling it Lahmeyer Park. In the birth centenary year (1989) of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, it was renamed Nehru Park.[1]A cast iron statue of Nehru, cast at Kulti Works, then part of IISCO, was installed in the park. The park was developed on the banks of the Damodar, retaining the undulating terrain of the area. A small stream flows through the park. The slopes have been utilised to develop gardens and walkways. A musical fountain has been added and is operated on weekends and Thursdays. There is a restaurant in the park and picnic spots are earmarked. There is a nominal entrance fee. One big pond is there inside the park with boating arrangement for the visitors. Big Grass Crap fishes are found inside the pond

The Maithon Dam

The Maithon Dam is located 48 km from Dhanbad,in the state of Jharkhand. It is 15,712 ft long and 165 ft. high. This dam was specially designed for flood control and generates 60,000-KW of electric power. The unique feature that sets it apart from the rest is that there is an underground power station, the first of its kind, in whole of South East Asia. The dam is constructed on the Barakar River.The lake is spread over 65sq.km

Sri Mayapur

It is ISKCON which is planning to build a huge "Religious Tourism" project, which includes as its feature the 35-storey tall Sri Mayapur Vedic Planetarium and Temple, built to last over a thousand years. As Hindu temples are built to symbolically represent the cosmos (here's a nice paper on Indian Architecture and Cosmology), the temple includes a Planetarium and learning center, and is to be surrounded by a large Vedic Village, a Village Industrial Park, hotels and accomidations, and house a large Vedic university the Mayapur Centre of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
