Oil Breather Kit Installation

Finally installed the EMPI oil breather kit I ordered months ago. This "should" releave the presure in that case. I have no idea how it works.

Steering Gearbox Replaced

The steering gearbox on my '67 Bug had a odd bit of play in it -- this is why I replaced the stearing dampener and tie-rod end. All that was left was the gearbox. This is the photo story of that event.

The Rack!

Got a new roof rack from Mid-America Moterworks. I liked the vintage look, the 9-slats, the curved tubes. Didn't realize assembly was required (yeah....), but it's all good. Took about 2-hours and turned out pretty good.

Tie-Rod Fix

Turns out besides my steering dampner needing to be replaced, my outer right hand tie-rod end was blown, and...TA-DA...not attached to the socket on the spindle!! Yeah! How I avoided a catastrophic accident is beyond me.

Shots of my "1967" Bug. Yes, I know the body is a '66...she's been restored. It's kinda like that Johnny Cash song, "One Piece at a Time"...a little bit from this car, a little bit from that car. There are a lot of redundant shots. I'm trying to find that elusive 'perfect' shot.
