The face shield shattered but the top of the helmet kept it's structural integrity.
I think this is where his head hit the SUV side post.
This is why you wear a full helmet. This saved his head.
Facing west - Brett's leather gear on right and his bike in the background. SUV off the road to the left where people are.
Facing east - See impact point where the people are standing. This was on Brett's side of the road.
Motorcycle frame cracked in 3 places. Tank crushed and handlebars gone.
Right side of bike and the handlebars took the major impact and the tank was crushed. Tank was almost empty - thank God.
