A similar expression as to when I am put on a horse. I was offered a horse to sit on, but didn't trust myself to be able to get on the horse while balancing the eagle.
A traditional Kazakh game - essentially tug-of-war on horses with a goat skin. I believe often done at weddings.
Those eagle claws were individually as long and thick as my pinky.
