Our camping spot, right next to the Kern River.
The Kern River is fed from the Sequoia National Park snow runoff.
Peggy with river in background.
The river from our campground.
Gershwin likes the taste of this campground!
“Camp James” is the name of the campground.
Kayakers coming down the river.
Some ducks in the river.
More ducks. We also saw deer, a river otter, cranes, and other wild animals.
At one point, Gershwin went after these ducks, pulling me on an inner tube behind.
A tired dog!
Where are those ducks???
There's a river otter that comes out each night at 7PM under that tree.
Fly fishing is very popular.
So is tubing.
We bought tubes and rafted down the river, with Gershwin in Jim's lap.
Yup, exercise and cigarettes, what a combo.
There's a river otter here somewhere.
