On my way to the ICCV conference I stopped in Osaka to visit the US consulate. The hotel I picked was in Namba. My room was floating above the Namba Garden mall, the modern version of the famous hanging gardens!
The Osaka undergground ticket system was a little intimidating at first.
In Japan everything is beautiful! Even the temparary construction!

Many general competed while helping on the construction of the Osaka castle. Some of them used 20 meters long bulders to build the castle walls
Kinmeisui well, was built to provide water to the castle in case of attack.

I got to ride the Shinkansen on my way back to Osaka!
On my way back to US I stopped again in Osaka to get my passport. I got the same hotel, but I was given a room facing the Namba restaurant side this time. Yum!
