A female sea lion popped up 5 feet to my left as I was about to shoot pictures from a sea lion colony from a "safe distance" 50 yards away.
The first 45 minutes with very little wind during the trip, on day 6. Shortly after taking this pic, the winds picked up and I had to find shelter for 48 hours on a small island.

After completing the circumnavigation, I flew back to my friends on Saunders Island.
The pilot flew mostly along the coastline I paddled for the past 3+ weeks ... I realized I missed the most beautiful landing sites and camp spots with a 100% accuracy.
