2009 Champions of Mentoring Breakfast at Fenway Park
At this annual breakfast, Mass Mentoring Partnership recognized both individuals and organizations that have championed youth mentoring in Massachusetts. At this year's event, youth educational awards were also presented -- one in the name of Marilyn Russell, the late wife of NBA Champion Bill Russell; and another in the name of Ted Kelly, CEO of Liberty Mutual and Mass Mentoring's former long-time board chair. Featured guests included Bill Russell and his daughter Karen; NESN's Tom Caron, Tom Werner, Terry Francona, and John Farrell of the Red Sox; and Eric Wedge of the Cleveland Indians. Citi was the presenting sponsor of the Champions event.
