David Martin, retired from 37 years teaching Industrial Arts and Art, tends 11+ acres of young trees in NE Oregon in summer and creates art in winter months. "Madonna & Child" carvings came about when split firewood caught Martin's eye on a 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair trip; his Native American heritage and the strong Nez Perce influence in the area inspire recent art. 'BarnArt', hand made paper-like slabs removed from horse stalls in the old barn on the property, creates a new, innovative surface for acrylic painting. Measurements shown are approximate.
