As every year, a week-long Vacation Children's School was held in Dongripada, G.B.Road, Thane (W), (Mumbai), INDIA, from April 16-22, 2012. Children enjoyed songs, stories, action songs, painting, drawing, paper bags-making and other handicrafts work, etc. Daily snacks were given to children as they spent about 2-3 hrs in class. Final day, prizes were given to those who repeated what they learned and also special refreshments were served to share love with all. Sister Maria (in her house the school was held), along with other sisters managed the children and taught them. It is our hope that through these children the families would be impacted and thus the whole village.

As we do on a public holiday, a Special Gospel rally was held on 6th April'12 at the School, Thane. Several new people came to hear the gospel. After a time of singing and sharing testimonies, gospel was preached. Some responded to the altar call and prayed for. One lady was demon possessed, was prayed for and was set free. After the meeting all shared in the refreshments and tea.

EecoCar

As James says in his letter, Every good and perfect gift comes the Lord (james 1:17), we took possession of a new car, called Eeco 7-seater (Petrol) recently. With help from some friends and our church members, God provided a vehicle to make our movement easy and convenient on the busy roads in this Maximum City of Mumbai, in Incredible INDIA! Here are some of the pictures clicked while taking delivery of the same and also while we drove it to the church with church people from the village and the church materials. We also got soem accessories fixed in an automobile shop for safety and security of the car. Thanks to all whgo helped and praise God for His gracious provision. Amen.

On the occasion of India's 63rd Republic Day public holiday, we had organized a special gospel rally at the school in Thane. Many new guests were invited to hear the gospel. Some non-christians responded to the altar call. After the meeting, hot samosas and tea were supplied to all. A short film on the Republic Day celebration in Delhi was shown and also a film on the Power of Resurrection was screened for about one hour. All enjoyed. Praise God. Now you enjoy the photos.

Wtchnight service on Dec 31, 2011, at the school room. Thanksgiving for God's goodness in the past year and to be in His presence at the arrival of the new year. With a good time of singing, sharing testimonies of God's grace and then a message based on Ezekiel 36:25-27. Snacks and tea ended the meeting at 12.30am. Enjoy the pictures.

As every year, church people spend the time sharing God's love and the gospel with poor and needy on Dec 25 as many celebrate enjoying themselves. This year, some brothers and sisters went to Kalwa, a nearby suburb with many bags of used clothes and distributed to the poor and needy in the slums and on the streets. Opportunity for sharing the gospel and praying for the people opened the door to reach out to them. See how people are grabbing eagerly the precious gifts!

Vacation Children's School iwas held from Oct 31-NOv6, 2011, at Dongripada village for the children of the villages along the Ghodbunder Road, Thane West, Maharashtra State, INDIA. Songs, stories and skills of drawing, painting,etc were taught to children of various age levels. Prized were distributed to all for participation and for repeating what they have learned. This is a developmental project of Calvary Centre Trust (Regd) Thane.

True Church Conference was held at a tribal village, Manjari near Pimpelner in Dhule District, Maharashtra state, INDIA. Participants came from different places and enjoyed 4 days of intensive teaching, practical discussions and interactions and evening gospel meetings with great sound system to sing and play music. Pimpelner-sept11

Pimpelner is a tribal village in the Dhule Dt of Maharashtra State, INDIA. It is about 4 hrs travel by bus from Nashik and about 7 hrs by bus from Thane. I had visited this village earlier to teach the Word and train some leaders. This time, I was invited to discuss about starting a church there and finalizing the details of the proposed True Church Conference in Oct last week, We discussed all the details Saturday wholeday. Some families gathered for Biblestudy on Saturday evening, and Sunday morning and evening. Though some are working in govt schools and offices, they need much teaching and practical guidance. I also met a new family who recently came to the Lord and needed much encouragement and prayers.I also enjoyed playing with children, helping them make their kites, etc.

Pimpelner-Aug'11

Pimpelner is situated in the Dhule District, Sakri Taluka, along the Westen Maharashtra State with most of the population being tribals. Since 31 Aug and Sept 1 were govt holidays here, I went to meet our contacts and minister to them. Shared gospel with my co-passengers in the buses I travelled from Thane to Nashik and then to Pimpelner. Enjoy seeing photos taken there with families and others.

Singapore11

Safest Singapore and Best in Asia! Welcomes the visitors at Changi Airport. I had the privilege to visit Singapore for the 6th time since 1981, from Aug 8-20, 2011. Got to see Universal Studios recently built in Singapore at Sentosa and Marina Bay, the venue of National Day parade 2011. Meeting and eating with people and speaking in meetings at Bethesda Chapel were the main engagements. Enjoy viewing the photos taken by Richard Chua and others.

Hubli-tour

After several years I got the opportunity to visit my hometown, Hubli in Karnataka State, India, from June 5-9, 2011. Spent time and had meals with sisters and their families. It was memorable to meet after many years old friends and school and college classmates. Gave gifts to all and received some wonderful and useful gifts. Shared the Word with friends and relatives.Travelled in the new car of my eldest sister. Hope you will enjoy seeing all these photos.

Thailand

Unexpectedly God opened the door to visit Thailand this year. I had gone to Chiang Rai in northern Thailand via Bangkok and had fellowship and ministry for a week with the Akha tribal children, from June 16-23'2011. Richard Chua and others from Singapore started the work among Akha tribal children 20 yrs ago and built the Akha Gospel Training Center near Chiang Rai, Thailand. A team of youth from Bethesda Chapel from Singapore and also from Bangkok joined us to minister to children with skits, songs and Bible stories. Warsa village is near Pimpelner in Dhule Dt, Maharashtra State, India. Predominently tribals involved in agricultural work. Bro. Shantwan Raut, organized training for church leaders on Disciplemaking on May 16,17. On May 18, family life seminar was held for about 12 couples. They never had such program to learn so many things on family life. On May 19, youth seminar was held for about 30 youth, on how to be a winner in life. You can also have a glimpse of the lifestyle of the tribals from the photos.

VCS-Apr'11

As every year, this year we had a week-long Vacation Children's School for village/slum children in Dongripada, Thane (W). Daily about 40-50 children of all ages attended from 3-5pm. Maria and Sherry and other ladies taught and manage the program. The children were taught songs in English, Marathi and Hindi and moral stories with colorful picture charts, and drawing and painting and paper packets making, etc were special items this year. After the class, pepsicolas and biscuits with cold drinks were distributed to the children to beat the summer heat.Final day special prizes of compass boxes, picture books, etc were given away to those who have repeated well what they had learned and also those who attended regularly. The purpose of this school is to inculcate good habits of interacting and sitting with other children and discipline and mental and moral exercises that will help to develop their personality as a whole- body,mind and spirit.

26 Jan'2011, being India's Republic Day, is a national holiday. A Special rally was held at the HT school, Pride Park Complex, Thane from 3.30-6pm. William Moraes, from Canada, an India-born ex-Catholic priest, now a pastor sang and shared bis testimony how he experienced salvation by grace alone. Special songs were presented by some youth and children. Message on how to walk on water with courage and confidence was shared by A.Othniel. Clothes and shoes were distributed to the poor and refreshments were served to all. All enjoyed and were blessed.

Celebration of New year 2011 with a love-feast after the Worship Service on 2nd January 2011, at the HT School premises, Thane. There was a time of open sharing of each one's interest in taking responsibility in the work and also a time of good singing special songs presented by some. Special chicken biryani ordered from outside Caterers was enjoyed by all. The Goal for the new year is "Connect, Care & be Complete" (based on matthew 5:43-48, 1 cor.9:19-23)

To remember God's goodness and to give thanks and also to make commitments for the new year, we all gathered on 31st Dec'10 at 10.30pm at the HT School premises. Singing, sharing testimonies of God's goodness and a message on God's Protection for the new year based on Psalm 91 was followed by light refreshments and tea. The watchnight ended by 12.15am and all rerturned home rejoicing in the just arrived new year 2011.

Today I bring you glad tidings of great joy...for unto you is born...is the Savior..." said the Angel on the night Jesus was born. A time to proclaim the gospel and share God's love. A speical gospel rally was held at the school in Thane. Special songs, story telling and message on "Fear NOt" were presented. Refreshments and tea served. VBS-Nov10

Vacation Bible School for village children was held in Dongripada, Thane, from Nov7-14,2010. Songs, Bible stories and memory verses and other useful lessons were taught daily for about 2hrs by Sisters Maria, Sherry and others helped from the church. Most of the children were from non-christian families. Everyday, after the class, some sweets/biscuits were distributed and on the final day, gifts/prizes were given to those who repeated by heart what they had learned during the weeklong VBS. All children were happy and excited to attend and are continuing to come for Sunday school. May the children influence their families to know the truth of the Word of God. Amen.

As every year, on August 15, our national Independence Day, we had a special gospel rally, at the school here. Our church believers invited their friends and neighbors to the meeting. We had a good time of singing and sharing testimonies and then presentation of special numbers. The gospel was clearly and powerfully preached based on Naaman's healing from 2 Kings 5. Those who came forward in response to the altar call were prayed for. Then, refreshments and tea served to all. Old clothes were given away to the poor. To God be all gloru. Amen.

Nashik-tour

Nashik is a City & District in Maharastra State, India, about 3 hrs travel from Thane/Mumbai. Is well-known for Hindu temples, Chivda (a snack like farsan), and Govt Security Press. My old contact & friend Akash Vansal (formerly Raju Selvan) planned in association with his church, CIDCO Bible Fellowship Church in Nashik, a Youth Festival on 5th June and Family Life Seminar on 6th June'10. On 2nd May '10 Board members and Friends had hired Qualis and travelled for 2 hr from Thane to Pen Town to visit the plots booked in the Arrowcity Manhattan. The Land is stiil being developed but we could see the area of plots and spend time in praising God for His provision to pocess the Land and construct a building for the ministry.

VBS-Apr'10

As every year, the vacation bible school for village children was held in Dongripada, Thane from April 11-18, 2010.Sister Maria taught the children songs, prayer, bible stories and activities. About 3-40 children, all from Hindu and Buddhist families attended and were blessed. Daily 2 hrs class was taken by Maria. Other sisters from the church helped her - Sherry, Ruth and Gulabi, etc. Final day, prizes were given to children who sang songs and toild stories by heart. Some of the children joined with church people for picnic to the National Park in Borivili, Mumbai on18th April' 10. Every Sunday, children's school is run in the afternoon in Sis Maria's house. Pray for their parents to be reached with the gospel through these children. Amen.

On the conclusion of the VBS in Dongripada, Thane, some of the church went for picnic to a big National park in Borivili, Mumbai on 18th April'10. Worship was done, remembering the Lord at His Table. Sightseeing Kanheri Caves, animals in the park, moving around, eating lunch together, travel by mini train and games for children were several activities enjoyed by all. A special bus was hired for this picnic. It was an educational cum entertainment tour for all. Praise God for His beautiful creation.

Bro. A.Othniel was at the Grace Gospel Church pastored by his oldest contact Sunder Rao in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, on 14th Feb'10. Migrants from Andhra Pradesh gather to worship in telugu language- the mother tongue of A.Othniel too. Preached in the morning worship service on Growing into His glory from 2cor 3:18. Prayed for those who came forward seeking prayers. Evening spoke on Building block of Family Life with couples. Another Sunday evening spoke to Elders of the church. On the occasion of the public holiday on 26th Jan 2010, being the Indian Republic Day, we had a special gospel rally, at the school hall here in Thane, Mumbai, India. Our church believers invited their non-christian friends and relatives to hear the gospel. After a time of singing, some shared their testimonies of salvation experience and then there was presentation of special items like action songs, music, etc. Bro. A.Othniel (in African shirt, gifted in Zambia) shared the gospel from Luke 19:41-44 on the Lost Opportunity, in Hindi. Praise God some youth responded to the altar call and came forward committing their lives to follow the Lord Jesus. Africatour-Lusaka

A.Othniel's tour of Africa was filled with a variety of experiences, both positive and negative. Here are the photos of the people I met, places I visited and programs I participated in, in Kenya, Zambia and South Africa. Starting Sept 1 through Oct 12, 2009, for six weeks, intensive travelling and speaking at several meetings and interacting with a cross cultural sction of people both Blacks, whites and Indians. Africatour-chingola

Dr.Oscar Fernandes who hails from Goa in India, came to Ndola and took us to Chingola in Zambia, driving his strong Jeep for about 2 hrs. Next few days our ministry was among students in schools and for leaders and youth at the house of prayer. Final meeting was at the new Life Christian Assembly church led by Dr.Oscar. Often we went to eat Indian food at the nearby Gymkhana club's restaurant. Praise God for all those who helped us there.

Our first mission station was Ndola in Zambia wherein we landed from Johannesburg, South Africa. Our hosts were Peter and Radhinee Kan, from Srilanka. Our ministry was among children, and in the church at the house of prayer. And also trained leaders for children's work and also in a church on disciplemaking. Africatour-Kenya

The first stop in Africa was in Nairobi, Kenya. The Bishop Duncan whom I met on net introduced me to another Aposlte Isaack who received me and arranged hotel room in the city. I got opportunity to preach in several meetings in churches in the city and slum. Met some new people and tasted African food. Here are the photos of the places and people and the programs. Praise God for this historic tour to Kenya and God bless those who showed love and hospitality.

There were many Hindus as you can see in the photos here. Bro. Francis Pereira, the Senior Elder of the church preached the gospel and prayed for the sick and those who responded to the altar call for salvation. All shared refreshments. Praise God for the new people who heard the gospel.

VBS-Apr'09

As every year, the weeklong Vacation Bible school for village children as held at sister Maria's house in Dongripada, Thane, (Mumbai), India. Began on 19th May and ended on 26th May'09. Daily about 20-30 children, all from Hindu and Buddhist families attended and learned songs, bible stories, prayers, etc. Prizes were distributed in appreciation of their regular attendance and for repeating what they learned by heart. After the 2-hr class sweets, pepsicolas and refreshments were given to show love and care as most of them come from poor families. Sister Maria of our church took time in the afternoon after her work in City Municipality, to teach songs, bible stories to the village children. She also paid for all the expenses during the week. Through this ministry, many children in the village are exposed to the gospel and Bible knowledge and thus sees are sown in unreached families. Praise God and pray for this ministry. To God be all the glory! Amen.

Pattyvisit

Patty Paff from Tennessee in USA visited our Church at Thane- Mumbai, India, on Sunday,25th Jan'09. We welcomed her with love and honored her with a beautiful white scarf. She sang and played organ and then shared from 1 Corinthians 13, on Agape Love. I had the privilege to host lunch for her at my house and then she attended our children's sunday school in the village and taught them a song. We praise God for her visit and encouragement in the ministry. I first met Patty in Cleveland, TN last year, through pastor Larry when I preached in their church in Chattanooga, TN, USA.

Baptisms

On Dec 31, 2008, we had watchnight service in the church to give thanks to the Lord for all His goodness in the past year and to seek His grace for the new year. It was a joyful time of sharing testimonies of God's blessings in each one's life. On 4th Jan'09, a husband and wife from Nepal took baptism. Their few months old daughter was dedicated to the Lord. His brother's 3 children were dedicated to the Lord. They gave love feast to the church in gratitude to the Lord for saving their 4- brothers & families and adding them into the church. Rebuild Altar- Gospel Rally-Sept3.'08

"How long wil you waver between two things?" with thia challenge, fiery Prophet Elijah set the scene for a confrontation with the prophets of Baal, the heathen at that time. 1 Kings 18:17-46. The rest is history of what happened on Mt. Carmel. Elijah began the victorious prayer with the rebuilding of the ruined altar. Without rebuilding the altar, God will not answer prayer. The gospel rally on Sept 3, '08 was focussed on that. May were invited and had good itme. Some new souls respodned to the altar call and were prayed for. Aug15 Rally

Beloved friends, Warm greetings in the Lord's Name. On August 15, India celebrated the Nationa's Independance Day. We, as God's people celebrated our True Freedom in Christ and proclaimed it to many people in a special Gospel Rally in the school here where we worship on Sundays.It was a real time of celebration as all freely shared their life experiences and also presented special songs. The Lord gave me a powerful message based on John 8:31-36. Luke 8, Light refreshments were distributed at the end. Then, I showed the photos taken in my tour of Israel recently, on LCD projector.
