Dear Jeff,

Thank you for taking me sailing today.
It was amusing to get to steer the boat. It felt like I was the captain of a ship, although it could only hold two people.

In all the years that I've been sailing, we never had to use a paddle before. While the paddle was in the water, it sounded like someone was swimming alongside the sailboat. I was intrigued by how the paddle collapses. It felt sort of like the cane that we use, but it had no string. I really want one of those paddles.

When we would come upon a wave, it was like a roller coaster on water. It was like tiny roller coasters on water. It was a lot of fun, even more fun than a water ride.

The shape of the buoy was really cool. It felt like a gigantic water jug, floating in the water. When we got near it, it was like a really tall person. I was surprised at how big it was. I'm just estimating, that it's probably taller than me when it's not in the water.
For some reason, I feel like I'm the daughter of Poseidon, and I belong in the water. It's like the water is my home.

When I touched the water, it was really cold. I could easily tell that it was saltwater, because of the aroma. I wished that I could just jump in, because I was really hot.

Going sailing was a lot of fun. You gave me lots of information about how much a sailboat costs, and what happens during a race, and how fast it goes. I hope I can go sailing again, when my dad comes home.

Sincerely, Danielle

Oh, by the way, be warned, I am the daughter of Neptune. I can easily make anything happen in the water."

Dear Ron,

Thank you for going sailing with me. I loved going fast on the boat. It's cool that someone who can't see could go sailing. I loved when we were telling stories about when I went on a boat last year. I liked being called Captain Joy. It was fun going sailing.

Your Friend,
Joy"

"Dear Doug,

I want to say thank you for taking me sailing. It was fun being able to sail the boat. I loved being in the water and seeing the different parts of the boat. The best part was me steering the boat by myself. Thank you again. I had a great time.

Sincerely,
Darren"

Dear Jason,

It probably would have been more fun if there had been wind, but it was still fun. I think that just being in a boat on the water is fun. And I love the water.

Steering can be kind of hard, but a lot of the time it's pretty easy. And keeping track of all the stuff I'm supposed to do is hard. My brain is not equipped for all that work.  At least, not yet.  I'm pretty sure I will come back. And I'd never met an adult who liked the Hunger Games or Percy Jackson before. And remembering all of those sailing commands isn't very easy.

I really liked sailing with you. It was really fun. Being towed around was fun too. I can't wait until I can go sailing again. Thank you for everything.

Sincerely, Sean"
