Holiday Feast for the Homeless
More than 100 volunteers helped The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia serve a special feast to 650 homeless and underprivileged individuals and families.
This special gourmet feast is made possible by a generous donation from Acme Markets and was prepared by students and faculty of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. The menu includee salad, roast chicken, maple glazed baked ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and homemade apple crisp for dessert.
Live holiday music and entertainment was provided by The Divine Movement Dance Ministry of the Mt. Pisgah A.M.E.Church, Singing City, and a Salvation Army youth choir and a traditional Salvation Army brass ensemble.
