40th St bridge sidewalk is strewn with glass - a hazard for bicyclists & pedestrians! The road is far cleaner than the sidewalk. We're facing Lawrenceville. Children's Hospital visible on the horizon.
Bike trail between Station Square and the Trib Total Media Amphitheater. Snow plows clearing the parking lot pushed large piles of snow onto the trail, blocking it. That's the Fort Pitt Bridge in the distance, of course. 2011/2/27
Cracks opened up in the Duck Hollow Trail in the past week, perhaps from Saturday's .8 inches of rain. We're directly across the river from Costco here. 2011/4/20.

Friday, 6pm. Giovanni's Pizza delivery car parked in protected bike lane (hazard lights flashing), 6th St between Fort Duquesne Blvd and Penn Ave. PA license plate JKM 8460.
Giovanni's restaurant is on our left. I went inside and told the cashier there was a Giovanni's car parked in the bike lane. She was immediately apologetic and quickly found the driver and told him to move the car, and he did.
That was a pretty good response, I thought. It didn't appear there were any parking spaces open in front of their business. We'll see if they are repeat offenders or not.
