Our Air Force Academy Adventure

Day at the Aquarium

I thought it would be fun to go to the aquarium and for a special treat eat lunch there too! Our table was right next to the tank, and even got to see the diver swim by. Towards the end, the eel got sick of the shark bugging him and snapped at him! The shark swam off, and we got to watch a little show!

Estes Park

For Rusty's birthday weekend we went up to Estes Park. Stayed in a cabin and had a blast. Thinking there would be snow, we brought all the fun gear, little did we know that the skate park was going to be our best bet. But boy did we have fun!

Zoo Lights at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

We went to go and see zoo lights this year at our favorite zoo down in the Springs. It was a beautiful night, and we all couldn't believe how beautiful the lights were! Not a lot of pictures turned out, much better in person, but I thought I would share the few that did turn out. Merry Christmas!

First Sled of the Season

Well, it's about time for a good snow! With at least a foot of snow, all pretty much from today, we took the kids out for our first sledding adventure. I couldn't believe my eyes when the princess got into the sled and was ready for some speed! We all had a blast! Mind you, we are at the top of the baseball fields, going down one hill over a snow covered sidewalk and down another hill! I think it is time to upgrade and get a couple more sleds so we can all have a go! Enjoy our snow!

Hiking Castle Rock Thanksgiving Eve

Well, with snow in the forcast, our plans of hiking the Rock were very slim on Thanksgiving. I thought it would be fun to do it the day before. The kids had a blast, and we even found new ways to go up and new ways to climb. Hope you can join us next time we go on up!

First snow of the season

Well on November 14th we had our first snow of the season. It came early in the morning and was gone by the time Rusty got out of school in the afternoon. Let me tell you, he was not happy about that at all! This year Anna Lyn actually enjoys playing in the cold stuff and of course Grant is so happy to finally be able to push his trucks around the snow again. Enjoy the pictures, because they will last a lot longer than the snow did...wishing for more white to cover our ground.

Rocky Mountain National Park

We went up to the mountains with the Blayter's this past week. With almost all the leaves either gold or on the ground and snow on parts of the ground, it was an adventure for all. What a beautiful day we all had.

Rocky Mountain National Park "Leaf Peeping"

It's that time again when the leaves change colors and we go leaf peeping. Last year was in Breckenridge which was pretty, but this year we wanted to knock our socks off. So off to Rocky Mountain National Park. Of course it is beautiful there all year long, but with the changing colors it is beyond words. I am sorry there are so many pictures, but I just had to share a small percentage of what I took... Enjoy and Happy Leaf Peeping!

Anna Lindsey's 1st Bike Ride

My baby girl is riding her big girl bike, you know the one that she got when she got rid of her diapers way back in February. All summer she pushed herself along, not liking the pedals. Now she is flying up and down the street with the boys! GO ANNA LYN!!!!

Grant's 5th Birthday

Since the rains came...we couldn't go to Elitch Gardens. So we went to Amazing Jakes for tons of fun! With bumper cars, go-karts, rollercoasters, frog jumpers, train rides, and much much more how could we not have a ton of fun??? Later to Gramma and Papa's for presents & cake, and of course to Red Robin for dinner. Happy 5th Birthday Grant!

Last day of Grant being 4...

What do you when it is your last day being 4, your brother has the day off of school, and it is raining cats & dogs??? You go to the aquarium of course! Oh, and build a house for Kitten, fly in the air with your Mommy, and of course fall asleep on the floor in your sleeping bag in your sister's room. (Without your parents knowing of course!) Well, at least that is what Grant did on his last day being 4.

Douglas County Fair & Rodeo

The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo this year was absoultly perfect. The weather couldn't have been better, and of course since all the kids could ride the rides it was so much fun! Anna Lyn was in heaven with all the horses, and the boys even have a blast watching the cowboys do their thing. Since it is a Pro Rodeo, these people are serious about what they do, and makes it a fun show to watch.

Douglas County Parade

We went to downtown Castle Rock ready for an awesome parade! I can't tell you how much fun it was! Horses, cars, trucks, princesses, and lot's of fun...this parade was a perfect way to start the day. The kids loved every moment of it. (What kid doesn't like a parade??)

Estes Park July 2008

We had a wonderful trip up to Estes Park this past week. John & I had some time by ourselves, then the kids and my parents joined us for the weekend. Rocky Mountain National Park is BEAUTIFUL! The pictures don't do it justice. The kids loved the paddle boats, fishing and of course Anna Lyn loved the horse back riding. Enjoy the pictures of our fantastic trip.

Our First Snow December 2006

After moving here a little over 2 months ago, we had our first snow. They say it doesn't snow here much, but I would like to say they lied! Notice the mailboxes, they stand a little over 4 feet, the street is gone, and of course you can see how tall it is next to John. Wow! That is all I can say!
