Camp with horses. Between Burly, Id, and City of Rocks.
Almost there! City of rocks is just around the corner.
Campsite #11, arguably the coolest in the whole city. You're surrounded on 3 sides by granite walls, an easy scramble takes you to great views, and there is shade to relax in under the tree behind the tent.
Flowers in linchened granite, on the east side of Parking Lot Rock, City of Rocks, Idaho.
Elephant Rock (with several climbers), viewed from the top of practice rock, the back wall of our campsite.

Enjoying the view and some bagel sandwiches at the top of "Theater of Shadows" (5.7) on Jackson's Thumb.
A shady bench in the trees behind our tent. The temperature climbed to the low 90s most afternoons, so we usually finished our morning climbing by 2pm as the last shadows evaporated.
Fearless, pesky chipmunk.
Brendan getting readyg for "Rye Crisp" (5.8). We did this climb in the evening; temperatures were probably still in the mid-eighties, but with a light breeze it felt fine in the shade.
On "Rye Crisp."
Granite Mountain and Steinfells Dome dominate the skyline; Jackson's Thumb is the smaller buttress just to the left of Steinfells.
Amy on "Private Idaho" (5.9).
Amy hangs out near the top of "Skyline" (5.8) on Morning Glory Spire.
