There was a lot of organizing and assignments to be done
People had to be told where to go when
The cast had to be given instructions and pointers before and after each rehearsal
The first rehearsal after auditions was just a read-through
The shepherds had to be taught how to gently fall down the stairs and be "scared"
The angels up in the baptistery had fun
The spotlight really added a lot!
"If you look now, you'll see the chosen girl. There - see - in the blue?"
It's nice when everyone stays together!
Kneading bread... or should we say, cloth? =)
Gabriel's commanding presence
Learning to be a family together
Long, beautiful lines from Mary's song in Scripture
They had to learn to give real, excited hugs onstage.
"John - the Grace of Yahweh"
Practicing dances and songs
Singing wonderfully well
Dancing as if she were thinking the moves
Sometimes there were memory lapses and funny mess-ups. =)
Little ones following well
Excited about circling up
"This is what you do"
Sweeties ;-)
Practicing the lines but not looking very kingly - yet.
Dancing their part
Practicing the star part shining brightly
Playing her violin sweetly
"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"
Standing for long periods of time
The spotlight made it look great!
The shepherds in the field
Be afraid - it's Gabriel!!
Telling them about the Baby's birth
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace to men on whom His favor rests"
Angel dancers
Shepherd dancers
Each of them did the solo at different times, so they practiced together
"Sleep tonight, close your eyes..."
Lining up little girls and trying to keep them quiet
Beautiful Mary - the one chosen to bear the Messiah
Ben played a great Gabriel!
