One, two, three, four...Hi-5!

We went to the Hi-5 concert at the Meadowbrook Music Festival on Wednesday, July 25th. Elena & Katrina loved the popcorn, and Katrina entertained us during the intermission with her interpretive Hi-5 dances.

Painting a boat

The girls were having so much fun jumping in the play structure boxes they called "boats." So, we decided to paint a boat outside. By the time the girls finished, almost all of the pink paint was gone. (sigh) It's no surprise when Katrina is involved.

Splashing at Buhr Park

We met with Angie and Sofia for some water fun at the Buhr Park Pool in Ann Arbor, MI. It was perfect for the girl because it has a zero-entry pool that only goes to a maximum of 2 feet. Plus, there are fountains and sprinklers available as well. Admission is very reasonable and well worth it. http://www.a2gov.org/CommunityServices/Parks/Buhr/buhr_pool.html

Mom's Club Summer Party-June 22, 2007

I have had the opportunity to participate in the Walled Lake/Commerce Twp Mom's Club since August of 2006. Today we had our summer party to finish up the "year" and begin a new one with new board members in July. Jaime Lynch was our amazing president this year and the rest of the board was equally as outstanding. We always had an interesting event or two to look forward to every week with this club's amazing event-planning abilities. I never could have made it through the LONG winter without having these events to look forward to. Hooray for Mom's Club!

WalkAmerica for the March of Dimes

We did it! Our family walked (or strolled) 4 miles as part of our March of Dimes fundraising event at Kensington Metropark. The girls liked that snacks which were available at each checkpoint. They REALLY loved their first taste of an ice cream sandwich at the end. Afterwards, we took a ferry back to the parking lot, played in the bounce house, and had an awesome lunch (provided by Carraba's Italian Grill). Brad and I have sore bodies now.

Guess what's in my shirt?

Elena came into the family room clanging, and when I looked at her I nearly died laughing! She had stuffed her onesie outfit with food toys, a play knife, fork, and a few ceramic play tea cups! Katrina and I had to pat Elena down in order to make sure we had extracted all of the items before doing a diaper change.

Sarah invited everyone to our house for a Hawaiian Luau Surprise Birthday Party. We all had a great time. Nama's food selection was absolutely amazing! The chocolate fountain was everyone's favorite without a doubt.

Roller Skating with the Easter Bunny

We all went to Bonaventure Skating Rink for a special preschool skate featuring the Easter Bunny. Katrina won a stuffed bunny in one of the raffles. Once Elena saw the big bunny, she was crying and asking me to hold her. We had a lot of fun with the egg hunt as well.
